Mar 19, 2025

At Hi Power Electric, we know that our success is built on the incredible people who make up our team. This month, we’re excited to feature Angie Wade, our Director of Training & Development. Angie plays a key role in shaping the future of Hi Power by ensuring our team has the knowledge, tools, and support they need to thrive. Let’s get to know Angie and the impact she’s making!

From Growth to Opportunity

When Angie received a call from Hi Power Electric’s leadership, it couldn’t have come at a better time. She had been sear

ching for new challenges and opportunities to grow, and Hi Power provided exactly that.

“I always thought I’d be comfortable doing the same thing over and over again, something easy that I liked. But last year, I realized I was craving a challenge. I wanted to take on new projects and opportunities. So when Ryan called, it was perfect timing.”

Although her role wasn’t completely defined at the start, the opportunity to build a training department from the ground up was an exciting challenge for Angie. She brought lessons from her past experiences, along with a passion for onboarding, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and streamlining processes to help the company continue its rapid growth.

A Recognized Leader

Angie’s impact at Hi Power Electric hasn’t gone unnoticed. In fact, she was recently featured in the Denver Business Journal!

“I’m a big ‘words of affirmation’ person, and to know that the owners trust me and see my future here at the company—it means a lot. We’ve all worked places where we didn’t feel supported, and coming to Hi Power has been amazing because of the top-down support and feedback.”

What Angie Loves About Hi Power Electric

Since joining in late October, Angie has hit the ground running—building training programs, improving onboarding, and spending time with employees in the field.

“I was remote before, and while the commute isn’t my favorite, I love being in the office and seeing everyone every day. Plus, being based in Colorado means I get to visit job sites weekly and interact with employees. By the time our December Christmas party rolled around, I recognized 95% of the people there! That was a great feeling.”

She also appreciates how open and receptive the Hi Power team has been to new training initiatives. “Change can be tough, but everyone is willing to try something new. They don’t just go with the flow—they give great feedback, which makes my job easier.”

What Sets Hi Power Apart?

According to Angie, it’s the small-family feel that truly sets Hi-Power Electric apart from other companies.

“I know every company says, ‘We’re like a family,’ but here, it’s actually true. The owners are still very involved, people have worked together for years, and there’s a lot of trust. They hire the right people and give them what they need to succeed.”

Beyond the Job: Angie’s Life Outside of Work

When she’s not shaping the future of Hi Power’s workforce, Angie enjoys spending time outdoors—a passion that brought her from the Midwest to Colorado eight years ago. She’s also a dedicated mom to her three-year-old, who’s already a world traveler! “He’s been on over 40 flights—so we definitely love to travel and explore new places.”

A surprising fact about Angie? She ran a marathon for her 30th birthday—even though she doesn’t consider herself a runner. “I probably couldn’t run a mile now if I tried! But when I commit to something, I follow through—even when it’s tough.”

Thank You, Angie!

Angie has already made a huge impact at Hi Power Electric, and we’re excited to see all she accomplishes in the future. Her dedication to learning and development is shaping the next generation of electricians and helping Hi Power continue to grow.

Thank you, Angie, for all your hard work and leadership!
