Hi Power Electric Featured Employee: Doug Garcia

May 5, 2025

At Hi Power Electric, we’re proud to shine a spotlight on the people who power our job sites and shape our future. This month, we’re excited to feature Doug Garcia, Senior Superintendent and all-around legend on the multifamily side of things.

Doug joined the team just 8 months ago and hit the ground running—quite literally. With a passion for watching projects grow from dirt lots into lasting landmarks, he’s a perfect fit for Hi Power’s fast-paced and high-impact projects. “I came to Hi Power because I saw the opportunity to be part of something growing, something meaningful,” Doug shared. “Being able to help build the multifamily department from the ground up has been incredibly rewarding.”

From coordinating field crews to leading with mentorship and vision, Doug’s days are packed. But what keeps him inspired? Watching green apprentices transform into confident leaders in the field. “Seeing someone go from their first day on site to running their own job—it doesn’t get better than that.”

Doug is quick to call out what sets Hi Power apart: a rock-solid support system. “Between the preconstruction team, training staff, office crew, and our owners, we’re set up to succeed. Add the tech tools we’re given, and it makes a huge difference. And the best part? Hi Power is always pushing to improve and be more efficient.”

When he’s not leading teams onsite, Doug’s probably hitting the greens (even if he says he’s “not very good”), knocking down pins at the bowling alley, or adventuring with his wife Cassie—whether that’s decorating their home, road-tripping through the mountains, or checking out a new local brewery. And fun fact: he’s jumped out of a perfectly good airplane. No big deal.

Doug’s superpower of choice? Flight. Not just to beat traffic—but to visit his kids in Colorado Springs and Anchorage. That kind of heart says everything about the kind of teammate he is.

As Hi Power continues to grow, Doug’s excitement is contagious. “Watching apprentices become Journeymen and Foremen become Superintendents—this year’s going to be big.”

We’re lucky to have Doug on the team. His leadership, energy (fueled by energy drinks, of course), and early-bird attitude are helping lay the groundwork for Hi Power’s future—one project, one person at a time.
