At Hi Power Electric, our team is our greatest asset, and we love shining a spotlight on the incredible individuals who keep everything running smoothly. This month, we’re featuring Lily Mulqueen, Executive Assistant to CEO Ryan McHugh. Since joining the
team in July 2024, Lily has become an indispensable part of the company, handling a wide range of responsibilities with skill, professionalism and a “never say no” attitude.
A Versatile Role in a Fast-Paced Environment
Lily’s role is as dynamic as it gets. As Ryan’s Executive Assistant and the unofficial office manager, she keeps everything on track—managing schedules, coordinating client meetings and interviews, overseeing the vehicle fleet, handling administrative tasks, and ensuring the office is stocked with supplies and refreshments. She’s also the mastermind behind planning company events, organizing trade applications, and checking in with both customers and employees to ensure top-notch service.
“No two days look the same,” Lily says. “Whatever comes my way, I find a way to get it done.”
Her ability to handle multiple tasks, stay ahead of deadlines, and keep operations running smoothly has made her a vital part of the Hi Power Electric team.
The Heart Behind the Hustle
While her role requires precision and organization, Lily finds a creative outlet in planning company events. “I really enjoy putting together fun experiences for the team,” she shares. One of her favorite projects was hand-drawing personalized thank-you notes for the company’s annual summer party. Her attention to detail and personal touch make every event memorable.
Hi Power Electric CEO Ryan McHugh speaks highly of her dedication and work ethic. “Lily’s greatest task is keeping me organized and making sure I’m where I need to be with the right customer at the right time. With a fast-growing company, she often takes on responsibilities that have never been done before—and she figures them out independently.”
What Sets Hi Power Electric Apart
Coming from the service industry, Lily has been especially impressed by Hi Power’s people-first culture. “One thing that really stands out to me is how well Ryan takes care of his employees,” she says. “It’s not something you see everywhere, and it makes a huge difference in the workplace.”
That culture extends beyond the office walls. One of Lily’s favorite experiences was traveling to Las Vegas for the International Builders’ Show with the executive team. “We ate amazing food, and I even won some money gambling for the first time!”
Outside the Office
Lily is an avid traveler. Before joining Hi Power Electric, she spent a year living and working in Australia after graduating college in May 2023. She also studied abroad in Florence, Italy, taking every opportunity to explore different parts of Europe. Her sense of adventure and adaptability translate seamlessly into her work, where she tackles new challenges with the same enthusiasm she brings to her travels.
